Ballad Rhythms for the Drumset

The Ballad rhythm, played on the drum set. Right hand on the Ride Cymbal or Closed Hi Hats. The Left hand plays on snare drum on the head, or as a cross stick.

Linear Rhythms for the drumset

Linear Rhythms for the drum set. Played on Closed hi Hat, or bell of the Ride cymbal. Right hand on cymbals, left hand on snare drum, and bass or kick drum (see notation at bottom of exercise) Sticking at top of notation, helps with a steady flow of notes. Note some paradiddle sticking, and some inversions on paradiddles. Have fun...Bill Rotella
